1. If I want to order a piece of Holocaust Remembrance Jewelry, but I do not know anyone personally, how can I carry on the legacy of someone who survived or perished?
Please email us at email@example.com and let us know that you want to carry on a legacy, but you don’t have a number. Please also indicate which product you are interested in purchasing. From there, we will select a number for you, send it to you, and send you their story so you know whose number you are wearing and whose legacy you are carrying on. We only use numbers that we have received permission to use either from survivors themselves or from their children.
2. How long does it take to receive my Piece of History?
Every item has a different lead time, however, once an item ships, it should arrive in 4-6 weeks from the date of purchase. If your purchase is a gift and you are not receiving it in time, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will provide you with a gift message for the recipient, informing them that a piece from The Legacy Collection is on its way. Please see our “Rush Options” for information regarding rush orders.
3. Can I rush an order?
Some of our pieces can be rushed, others cannot. If you are interested in placing a rush order, please email the style name and custom details to email@example.com along with the date you would like to receive it. We will let you know right away if a rush option and overnight shipping is available for that specific style. If you have already placed your order, please be sure to include the order number in the email (found in the confirmation email you received) and we will let you know if we can rush the order.
4. What is the return policy?
All sales are final. However, we are more than happy to exchange an item if there is something wrong with the order or if the product has a defect. Exchanges can only be made 7 days after delivery, and please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to do so. For exchanges due to incorrect order, please contact us within 3 days of delivery. We reserve the right to refuse any exchange if we believe the items purchased are intentionally damaged or have been misused. All SPECIAL ORDER/PERSONALIZED items are final sale and will not be refunded once an order has been placed. If you have any questions about personalizing a piece, please contact email@example.com BEFORE placing your order. We are not responsible for return shipping charges and the original shipping charges are non-refundable.
5. When is sales tax applicable?
Sales tax is applicable on all orders.
6. How much is shipping?
We provide free standard shipping domestically in the United States. Rush orders are offered at an additional cost.
7. How should I care for my piece from The Legacy Collection?
These Pieces of History are fine jewelry and should be cared for as such:
- Keep jewelry away from chemicals
- Store jewelry in the pouch it arrived in
- Sterling should be kept in an anti-tarnish bag
8. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do. Items in your order designated for shipment to countries outside of the U.S. may be subject to taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country (“Import Fees”). The recipient of the shipment is the importer of record in the destination country and is responsible for all Import Fees.
With respect to each item for which Import Fees have been calculated, you authorize Jakob Ella Jewelry to designate a carrier (“Designated Carrier”) to act as your agent with the relevant customs and tax authorities in the destination country, to clear your merchandise, process and remit your actual Import Fees for such item.
If you refuse a shipment from Jakob Ella Jewelry, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any Import Fees that are incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Jakob Ella. 9. Is J & E contributing to any outside charities?
Yes, a portion of each sale goes to Holocaust education and scholarships. We are partnering with both Yad Vashem and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to donate to their education programs and mission trips.
10. How long do I have to cancel an order?
All custom orders need to be cancelled within 12 hours of placing the order.
